'Microsoft SmartWatch' Release Date Is During The Holiday Season: Bing Search, Cortana, Heart Rate Tracker and Telephone Services Are Some Of Its Features
The release date of Microsoft "smartwatch" has been reported to be weeks away from today. Microsoft's latest wearable is said to hit the stores during the holiday season, not like the "Apple watches" that will not be released until the first quarter of 2015. Forbes has reported that the tech company will launch its very own tracking device for the heart rate in weeks time, so as to be ahead of Apple's release plans.
Microsoft will launch its "Smartwatch" before 2014 will hit its end; although other reliable sources say that it's going to be in the last week of October.
The "smartwatch" still has not released a price range, so we will have to be patient for this detail. While this is still hidden, one thing is sure to happen- it will definitely compete with the price of "Android Wear" devices that are being sold at $250 at least. Most tech experts are guessing that it will fall around $200 to $230.
Microsoft has once revealed through the International Business Times, that this wearable device will show-off a data connector, electrical connector, and optical sensor. Their "smartwatch" aka "fitness tracker" will have the ability to track exercises and movements with a combination of complex features are GPS and sensors.
Further, Microsoft said that "users have always been forced to connect external sensors for heartbeat monitoring such as chest strap, in order to achieve a biometric feedback after each exercise. The utilization of typical multiple physical components could be bulky and the last thing that we'd want to provide is awkwardness during exercise. Our aim of extending help has pushed us into making potable devices that could be worn during exercise sessions."
Rumors are spreading that the "smartwatches" will even have UV sensors and blood-glucose monitor. All in all, this modern device will have 11 sensors- all useful for daily activities.
Though the main focus is on fitness and health, there are other applications too, like telephone, messaging, alarm clock, and music player. With these long list of features, it isn't impossible to think that this "smartwatch" will have Cortana and Bing search.
Microsoft "smartwatches" will not only be compatible with Windows handsets, but Android and iPhones too.
