'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 Release Date, Spoilers, 'Frozen' Princess Elsa Casting Announced [PICTURE]

A big casting role for "Once Upon a Time" Season 4 has been filled with the announcement that actress Georgina Haig will play the part of Princess Elsa. She is best known from her time on the FOX show "Fringe" (playing Henrietta "Etta" Bishop,  the daughter of Peter Bishop and Olivia Dunham) and is currently on the CBS summer series "Reckless". You can watch the finale scene above from the third season above when Princess Elsa travels through the time portal to Storybooke and is introduced to "Once Upon a Time" viewers.  

Earlier this week the other two Frozen characters: Elsa, Anna & Kristoff were named for who would play their roles and join in the fairy-tale cast that inhabits Storybrooke, Maine. 

Anna, will be played by newcomer Elizabeth Lail in her first television role and Kristoff will be played by Scott Michael Foster ("Greek," "Chasing Life"). Elsa, Anna's big sister is the final new casting slot still to be filled. 

How much air time will the new 'Frozen' cast members get? Will Elsa will appear in 9 of the 22 episodes in Season 4, while Anna and Kristoff will make appearances in six episodes. In the third season finale, Emma and Hook have an urn that spills and it ends up coming together to form the the snow queen of 'Frozen', Elsa. So will she be a good character or bad? We will have to wait and find out. 

"Once Upon a Time" writers have done such a good job incorporating all of the different story lines together and with Frozen being such a big hit for Disney, (the parent company of the ABC) it makes a good fit to bring in the new characters.

Show producer Adam Horowitz shared in a recent interview. "You know, there's a backstory to how she appeared in Rumpel's vault, and what she's up to now when she's walking out of the farmhouse that we'll get into very quickly, most likely in the premiere. And in doing so, we very much want to honor what came in the movie. We're not trying to redefine the character; what we're trying to do is take the beloved character and fit her into our world."
