Darlene Zschech's Son-in-Law Andrew Hood Has Cancer
Worship music veteran and songwriter Darlene Zschech has announced that her son-in-law Andrew Hood has a rare type of blood cancer known as Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma.
Hood, affectionately known as Hoody, is a small business owner, an amazing musician, and a great friend to many. What should be a happy time in his life, enjoying his family and emerging new business, has become a situation that no one should have to go through.
"Over the last few months Hoody has humbly and quietly sought treatment for chronic and exhausting symptoms. During this time he remained committed to his business and his family and pushing through life to not cause a fuss. During this time he underwent tests and sat in many doctors surgeries in hopes for some answers. However, in November of 2020, he finally received a diagnosis of a rare type of blood cancer, Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma.
This is not only devastating to Hoody, but also to his young family and those who know and love him. Hoody starts an aggressive regime of chemotherapy in December, that will require travel from the Central Coast to Sydney each week. This treatment plan also means that Hoody's ability to work will be limited."
