Sarah Reeves to Make Feature Film Debut in God’s Here; Composes Faith-Driven Soundtrack
Multi-talented singer-songwriter Sarah Reeves is set to make her feature film debut in God's Here, an emotional faith-based drama premiering on November 2nd in Granbury, Texas. Known for her soulful voice and powerful lyrics, Reeves not only stars in the film but also composed its deeply moving, faith-driven soundtrack.
Written and directed by Bill McAdams, Jr., God's Here tells the story of Jack Gilmore (played by McAdams, Jr.), a firefighter grappling with grief after losing his wife and son in a texting-and-driving accident. The film explores themes of hope, faith, and redemption, with Reeves' original music playing a central role in conveying these powerful emotions.

Reeves' soundtrack features five songs, including two originals written specifically for the film. Her music enhances the movie's emotional depth, offering listeners a heartfelt journey of faith and healing. Highlights include:
- "Plans" - Inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, this track serves as a reminder that God has a plan for each of us, even in the midst of life's darkest moments.
- "Gentle Man" - A hopeful ballad about finding love unexpectedly, inspired by Reeves' real-life relationship with McAdams, which began on the set of God's Here.
- "Amazing Grace" - A tender and soulful rendition of the beloved Christian hymn.
- "Christmas Feels Different This Year" - A poignant track reminding listeners that, even through personal trials, the holiday season can still hold moments of beauty.
Reflecting on her involvement in the film, Reeves shared:
"This film carries a message of hope and unity. It serves as a reminder that even in the face of adversity and personal trials, the holiday season can still hold moments of beauty and magic. I'm so fortunate to get to be a part of such a powerful movie with such a strong message."
With six studio albums, 26 singles, and a growing presence in the Christian music world, Reeves has long captivated audiences with her authentic storytelling through song. Her latest single, "More Than Enough", is currently climbing iHeartRadio's Top Adult Contemporary Song Chart, earning her a spot alongside music heavyweights like Taylor Swift and Post Malone.
Reeves' transition from music to acting represents a significant new chapter in her career. Her role in God's Here marks her first foray into film, where she will have the chance to showcase not only her musical talents but also her ability to tell a story on screen.
Set just before Christmas, God's Here explores themes of loss and healing that will resonate with viewers, especially during the holiday season. The film's director, Bill McAdams, Jr., drew from personal experience, having lost his own brother to a distracted driving accident.
"I'm incredibly excited to have finally made this film," said McAdams. "This is a story I've been wanting to tell for a while, and I'm so grateful to Sarah and the entire cast for bringing it to life."
Kevin Sorbo, who plays Detective Kent Powers, added:
"I hope this film helps people find the meaning of forgiveness, redemption, and hope. This country needs it more than ever."
God's Here will premiere in Granbury, Texas, on November 2nd, with a digital release set to follow soon after. Audiences can expect an emotionally charged, faith-driven narrative, enhanced by Reeves' stunning soundtrack.
