Star Wars Episode 7 Spoilers and Rumors: Palpatine to Return, Vengeance, Possible Plot
With a lot of fans eagerly awaiting for some inside details about the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7," it wouldn't hurt to recall the storyline of "Episode 6: Return of the Jedi" that was released in 1983; so it's really been a long time since Episode 6.
"Return of the Jedi" is set one year after the events of "The Empire Strikes Back." It chronicles the evil galactic empire under the rule of Emperor Palpatine, who is plotting to destroy the Rebel Alliance by creating a second Death Star. Luke Skywalker on the other hand, meets his father Darth Vader and tries to persuade him back to the Force.
Taking off from "Return of the Jedi," how will things turn out this time for Luke Skywalker and his friends? Well, according to new reports and circulating rumors; an old villain will be back to wreak devastation to Luke Skywalker and his allies, which is no other than the darkest lord of them all - Emperor Palpatine/ Darth Sidious. He plans to resurrect his fallen galactic empire. Palpatine is presumed to be dead in Episode 6 when Darth Vader killed him to protect his son Luke.
At the recent London Film Comic-Con, Ian McDiarmid who played Palpatine says he's not going to be in Episode 7, but also mentions that there will surely be twists on the story.
Possible plot details will see Luke Skywalker falling through space with an injured hand while still holding a light sabre. New characters will then discover the light sabre on a desert planet and decide to return it to Luke. As they find Luke, they will encounter Han Solo and Chewbacca. Meantime, evil forces on an ice planet are constructing a device capable of massive destruction.
