Its codename is Motorola Shamu. Concerning the release date, nothing is yet to be confirmed by Google, but there are many speculations and rumors from the fans. Going per history, where Google is used to releasing its new devices around the end of the year, it is probable that it will be released around the end of this year, and others have been more specific saying that it will be released between late October and early November.

There are many speculations though about the release date. Evleaks said on Twitter that there is no Nexus 6 coming this year. They added that it will be released in February 2015. It is expected to feature a 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 3GB of RAM. Android L within Motorola Shamu, if official, should be the USP of the smartphone that is widely expected to be the successor to Google's Nexus 5. The Nexus 6 is also expected to feature a 13 MP rear camera and a 2MP front snapper. The upcoming Google flagship is expected to be a high-end device which will feature a 5.9-inch screen display. Other features include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC and MicroUSB.
